during this dark and heavy retrograde in scorpio

thank god for naps…
and warm puppies...
blessings for a gentle journey as you heal old wounds...

God is in the details

The clearer you see, the closer you are to God.  Stay in your light.  Use your light to illuminate the details. God is in the details.

Free Your Mind

Josephine Sison - Healer

many many moons ago i went with a group on a spiritual pilgrimage to the philippines...we traveled to a remote village to see josephine sison, a humble and highly sought after "psychic surgeon" healer...people from all over the world came to her remote location for healings...for the past few days she has been on my mind...i originally went on the journey in search of "curing" myself of being queer...the group i had been with had convinced me that i wasn't normal and that i needed to go to the philippines to have psychic surgery to rid myself of the curse i was living under (those pesky wiccan santa cruz lesbians!)...i was very keen to not have these feelings, and to make my mother happy that i was really straight...i even wore a skirt, as josephine's place was a church...there i am in the photo, receiving a healing from josephine, and her assistants...they came from many countries just to apprentice with her...

one doesn't say anything when it is one's turn to step up to see josephine...she takes one look at you, then has you lie down on the table...and she does her work...her hands just open up the energy that is the human body vessel...yes, that is blood in the photo...but that blood isn't just blood...for me, it represented the body healing itself, and the blood as a manifestation of that healing...skeptics say it is a scam...faith is faith...the divine works in mysterious and wondrous ways...

i came home from that pilgrimage, and instead of "cutting" out my gayness, i was given the gift of the deep realization that the divine made me queer, and loved me unconditionally...what was cut out was my self loathing for not being "normal"...

thank you josephine...you were here such a short time...though your good works lives on and on...

blessed be...
